Kid Rock bought Made In Detroit out of bankruptcy in 2005. Having worn the brand as a kid, he didn’t want to see it go away. To this day, he has never taken a single penny from the company; he creates jobs in his home state, reinvigorates pride in Detroit, and donates a portion of profits to local charities whenever possible.
